Muratie’s Laurens Campher 2024 is a masterfully layered white blend that walks the line between fresh elegance and barrel-aged richness. Vibrant notes of lemon zest, pineapple, juicy apricot, and ripe nectarine leap from the glass, underpinned by deeper tones of lime marmalade, caramel, and subtle creaminess - thanks to 11 months in mostly older French oak. The palate opens with a fragrant hit of honeysuckle before gliding into sun-drenched stone fruit, citrus brightness, and a long, persistent finish with fresh acidity. This is a wine that rewards both immediate enjoyment and patient cellaring - promising complexity and pleasure for at least five years.
Crafted from handpicked grapes grown on distinct slopes, this blend showcases old bush-vine Chenin Blanc for purity and texture. Each varietal—Chenin, Sauvignon Blanc, Verdelho, and Viognier—was vinified separately and matured in a mix of new and seasoned 500L French oak for 11 months. Partial malolactic fermentation softened the acidity, delivering elegance and complexity in every bottle.
