Mourvèdre
A Mediterranean varietal by origin, yet seemingly more Rhône and Provencal style by nature. Spain, Australia, South Africa, and the USA are nurturing styles of their own, too. Alone, Mourvèdre can be a hefty, savory wine with black and blue berry fruits, olives, dried tarragon, rosemary, and spice leading to an earthy, wild game meatiness on the nose. Bold in tannin with a vivid acidity and typically higher alcohol content. Mourvèdre is muscular in its approach yet softens to the touch when gracefully guided in the cellar. This blends seamlessly with Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. Browse Mourvèdre online either as a rosé, blend, or single vineyard style.
