Description

The 2024 Zevenwacht 7even Pinotage offers inviting aromas of dark cherry, mulberry, and ripe plum with notes of warm spice and a touch of dark chocolate. On the palate it shows a medium body with smooth, plush fruit that stays vibrant from start to finish.

The juicy finish makes it especially appealing with grilled pork tenderloin or a smoky vegetable braise.
The optimally ripe bunches underwent an overnight “cold-soak” to allow for color extraction early in the winemaking process. Fermentation took place with temperatures peaking at 28°C. The wine was pressed off the skins directly after fermentation, and following malolactic fermentation, it was matured for 12 months in seasoned 300L French oak barrels.
