Description
Dark ruby red color with a complex nose of dark fruits dominated by blackberries and blackcurrant followed by notes of tobacco and tomato leaf, fresh lead pencil shavings and cassis. The palate is elegantly poised with dark red fruit and a smooth chalky tannin finish which shows true to the area.
We hand-pick the grapes in small batches to ensure perfect ripeness, then ferment the juice in a mix of open-top and stainless steel tanks with gentle punch-downs and pump-overs for optimal extraction. The wine is matured for 18 months in 300L French oak barrels, with only the finest barrels selected for the final Grand Reserve blend. It’s a careful, hands-on process that brings out the purity, structure, and elegance we love in our Stellenbosch red wines.
