Description

Vibrant and elegantly expressive, the Delaire Graff Terraced Block Chardonnay 2024 captures the unique energy of its high-altitude Stellenbosch vineyards. The nose reveals a smoky floral lift intertwined with citrus zest, drawing you in with tension and complexity. On the palate, layers of almond, ripe pear, and passion fruit unfold against a backdrop of crisp acidity and flinty minerality. It’s a beautifully structured Chardonnay with finesse, freshness, and the ability to evolve gracefully in bottle.
Grapes from our terraced estate vineyard were hand-harvested, whole-bunch pressed, and barrel-fermented in 40% new French oak for 14 days. We matured the wine for 10 months in 225L barrels with no malolactic fermentation or batonage to preserve purity and freshness. Exceptional vineyard conditions in 2024 delivered low yields, small berries, and intense, concentrated flavor.

Winemaker: Morne Vrey
