Description

The Klein Constantia Blanc de Blancs 2022 is a refined, zero-dosage Cap Classique crafted from a single, historic vineyard block on the lower slopes of Constantia. This cool-climate site delivers precision and freshness, resulting in a sparkling wine that is both vibrant and quietly complex.

The nose is bright and inviting, with aromas of citrus blossom, lime, green apple, and grapefruit, layered with subtle hints of toasted brioche. On the palate, the wine is crisp and focused, with a fine, elegant mousse that carries flavors of citrus, stone fruit, and delicate pastry notes. There’s a beautiful tension between richness and acidity, leading to a long, zesty, and persistent finish.

Zero dosage means that no sugar is added after fermentation, resulting in a bone-dry style. This allows the purity of the fruit, the minerality of the site, and the natural acidity to shine through, giving the wine its clean, precise character.

A polished, food-friendly sparkling wine, ideal with fresh seafood, oysters, or celebratory occasions.
The grapes were hand-harvested early in multiple passes to build freshness and complexity, then whole-bunch pressed, using only the free-run juice. Primary fermentation took place in a combination of stainless steel and barrel, with around 7 months of maturation to build texture.

Following blending and bottling, the wine underwent secondary fermentation in bottle and was aged on the lees for approximately 40–44 months, developing depth, finesse, and fine mousse before disgorgement with zero dosage, preserving purity and precision.
