The Western Cape wine region encompasses a collection of smaller sub-regions, each benefiting from some of the world’s oldest soils, a Mediterranean climate, and refreshing coastal winds. When a wine is comprised of grapes sourced from various sub-regions and its origin isn’t tied to one specific area, it is categorized under the 'Western Cape' label. This expansive region is renowned for producing a wide variety of wines, each with a unique character shaped by the Cape’s exceptional terroir.
