Description
Crafted from heritage bush vines rooted in the rugged soils of Piekenierskloof, this Grenache is light in body yet powerfully expressive. Bright red berries, wild cherries, and a whisper of fynbos leap from the glass, followed by notes of spice and wet earth after rain. Smooth yet structured, its fine-grained tannins add depth to a vibrant palate of red fruit and subtle licorice. A true testament to dryland farming and minimal intervention, this wine is both a nod to the past and a fresh, soulful sip of the present.
Hand-harvested at sunrise in Piekenierskloof, our 50-year-old bush vine Grenache was naturally fermented in foudre with 20% whole bunches to lift the aromatics and add grip. Gentle pump-overs preserved purity, and after basket pressing, we aged it for 12 months in barrel. Only the finest were selected to express the soul of this iconic dryland vineyard.

Today, they are one of the few farms that proudly own all their own vineyards, with land in Paarl, Darling, Swartland and Stellenbosch.
