The fruit comes from certified heritage Pinotage vineyards planted in 1973, where old vines naturally produce small crops with excellent concentration. Fermentation took place naturally with indigenous yeasts, followed by maturation in older oak barrels to preserve fruit purity and vineyard character rather than impart overt oak influence.
